LEARN TO SWIM

Typically for students from 3 – 8 years, group classes in this semester program have a set curriculum of 8 levels with the skills learned each week building on the skills learnt in previous classes.

Starting with the Courage Levels that have a strong focus on the foundation skills of swimming such as breath control, floating & rotation and basic movement as well as important water safety skills.

In Courage classes, students experience the pool through fun activities designed to teach a number of swimming-based skills so that they are comfortable, safe, and able to independently move small distances in the water.

Grow classes are designed to teach students the ability to freely move through the water comfortably and effectively, achieved by developing the core skills that become the basis for effective competitive stroke swimming of Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly.

- IN COURAGE: Basic Movement In The Water, Breath Control, Balance, Water Safety.
 

- IN GROW: Stroke Technique, Efficient Movement In The Water, Water Safety.

Students must be a minimum of 3 years of age and will take part in assessment so one of our expert teachers and coaches are able to assess their swimming level.

- COURAGE Program: Minimum of 3 years of age
 

- GROW Program: Likely have already been introduced to some or all of the swimming strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke or Butterfly.

COURAGE
- Swimmers will be confident playing in the water and be able to submerge.
- Can play confidently together with adults guardians in the water.

GROW
- Begin to participate in other open water activities such as snorkelling, swimming in the beach or surfing.
- Work towards competitive or school team swimming ability.
- Swim for fitness.
- Enjoy many other exciting aquatic activities!
